Touchbase Care, based in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, is a vibrant and inclusive community organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, neurodiverse conditions, and sensory impairments. Our mission is to help our members achieve greater independence, foster personal growth, and enhance their well-being through creativity, community, and opportunity. We take a holistic approach, offering a wide range of activities from creative arts and crafts workshops, music sessions, film and animation workshops, and therapeutic services such as massage and art therapy. Our garden and allotment provide a space for members to connect with nature, grow fresh produce, and contribute to our cooking sessions and meals for us to enjoy in the centr. We also organise nature walks and other engaging activities to promote physical and mental well-being. Our key objectives include: Creating an inclusive environment: Bringing people together to reduce isolation and build a strong sense of belonging. Empowering personal development: Helping members identify and achieve their goals, whether through skill-building, confidence-boosting, or creative expression. Fostering creativity for well-being: Using art and creativity as powerful tools to support mental and emotional health. Advocating for disability rights: Breaking down barriers and promoting awareness and inclusion. Providing opportunities: Offering pathways for growth, purpose, and active participation through volunteering, work experience, and community involvement.
