Tour Manager – San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. High profile leadership position planning all travel arrangements for personnel and VIPs of the Ballet’s performing tours to Paris, New York, City, Iceland, and the Ballet’s 75th Anniversary Tour of Chicago, Orange County, New York City, and Washington, DC. And currently a September tour to China. Coordinate closely with SFB’s Board of Directors and management to plan and implement working budgets and vendor negotiations including airlines, hotels, ground transportation companies, and special events services. Planned and implemented multiple projects with demanding requirements and always met targeted deadlines. Negotiated rates with 5 star hotels, airlines, and ground transportation to result in 30% cost containment. Traveled with Ballet arriving two days in prior at each city to advance hotel rooms and all local arrangements to ensure V.I.P. Requirements were met resulting in a smooth arrival. Praised for elevating standards of travel quality of tours and substantially improving the experience of individual members through exceptional service standards. Organized Directors’ Circle (Board of trustees) special events for Museum of Modern Art. Planned and made arrangements for donor events; managed schedules including private viewings of international museums and special collections, dinners, private tours, and opening night receptions. Planned menus, selected wines, and hired local caterers. Key member of management team organizing performance tours for world-class performing arts companies including San Francisco Symphony, The Cleveland Orchestra, and The Boston Pops. Conducted advance on-site inspections to ensure quality of local facilities and services. Provided specialized logistical services for moving artists, technical crews, support staffs, priceless instruments, and cargo freight from point-to-point on time and within budget.
