About Tourism East

Tourism East is the official regional tourism organisation for the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. We exist to generate greater visitation to one of Victoria's premier tourist destinations that boasts a wealth of wine, food, arts and heritage, wildlife, nature, conferencing and agribusiness experiences. We connect local businesses to global tourism markets, showcasing our region as a whole and the unique experiences it has to the offer the visitor experience. The Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges are surprisingly close yet a world away, and are under an hour from Melbourne and the international airport, it is easy to get to and offers a sophisticated blend of urban style within a majestic backdrop of blue ranges and beautiful rolling hills strung with vines. From world famous wines, exceptional seasonal produce and breathtaking scenery, the Yarra Valley is Victoria’s premium food and wine region, home to over 70 wineries with most offering year round cellar door tastings. The Dandenong Ranges capture romance, just as nature intended. Meandering drives wind past lush forests and flowering gardens to hilltop villages replete with cosy hideaways, many with open fires. Home to an endless source of indulgent sensations, the region is rapidly gaining recognition as one of the states most romantic destinations, with it’s hilltop villages, abundant picnic grounds, boutique retreats, galleries, restaurants, ballooning and spa facilities.
