We are local government for the Town of Farmville VA, established in 1798. We serve the 8,000 citizens of our town by providing service for water, wastewater, sanitation, public works, public transportation, community development, municipal airport, horticulture, parks and recreation, and emergency services that include police and fire, as well as dispatch for all of Prince Edward county. Our Mission is to deliver services to the citizens of the Town in the most efficient, effective, and equitable manner and to build a stronger community. The Town of Farmville is a progressive small town community centered in the heart of Virginia. We are a two college town, home to Longwood University as well as Hampden Sydney College!
