The Town of Sylvan Lake is a thriving community that has seen significant growth over the last 10 years. Sylvan Lake has been rated as one of the fastest growing rural community according to Statistics Canada, as well as one of Canada's youngest communities. Over the last five years the municipality has grown 20.3 per cent. The Town of Sylvan Lake is one of the major urban area in the Central Alberta Region with a population of 12,327.
