About Townsville Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN)

The Townsville Suicide Prevention Network plays a key role in coordination, collaboration and resource exchange within the Townsville area to build our community’s capacity as a foundation for the development of effective suicide prevention initiatives. The Townsville Suicide Prevention Network is a newly incorporated association. Our Mission: Building partnerships within our community to work together for the prevention of suicide Our Vision: A connected community working together for prevention of suicide What We Do: We work across all sectors to help build a stronger community and reduce the incidence of suicide We Aim To: • build partnerships to work together for the prevention of suicide • build awareness of the incidence of suicide in our community through research and the collation of accurate data initiate targeted, early intervention and prevention programs • educate the whole community on how they can help within their own workplaces and family, friendship or community groups using evidenced based practices • facilitate resource exchange • participate in local community events
