We provide unique, unclonable and untransferable artificial fingerprints for physical items, that allow proof of authenticity and reliable track-and-trace throughout the supply chain and even after sales, whether to partner businesses or to the end customers. This is possible because our fingerprints—which are of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) type—become part of the product rather than being an attachment or part of the packaging, hence they are never lost or removed. Our fingerprints are versatile enough to fit any non-liquid surface, they have minuscule environmental and physical footprint and can be hidden or visible as desired, and the equipment for reading them is small-scale and low-cost. With in-house-developed algorithms tailored for reading and identifying our fingerprints, our software allows fast and easy local as well as remote authentication with a clear “authentic”/“fake” verdict. In the former case it also uniquely identifies which particular copy of the product is identified, such that it can be linked to its digital twin for storing any kind of metadata.
