About TraceMap
TraceMap is a web tool that empowers users to analyse the trustworthiness of news on Twitter. It is built around an interactive visualization interface, which allows tracing the flow of a tweet. One can explore who retweeted from whom, find out how social media users are connected and investigate various indicators to draw a conclusion whether the information is reliable or not. Soon we will introduce a tagging feature for users to share their findings with others and thereby contribute to debunking misinformation as part of our community. Once this feature is released, machine learning algorithms will support the estimation of a Tweet’s trustworthiness to make false news detection even more reliable.
