About Tracey Steele Music Academy

Tracey Steele Music Academy is a music school located in Montreal’s West Island. We specialize in piano, guitar and cello instruction - practical and theory - to children, adolescents and adults, beginners to advanced. In 1988, Tracey Steele founded the piano program at the Dollard Centre for the Arts, a non-profit fine arts organization affiliated with the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. She taught piano there for almost 25 years before founding Tracey Steele Music Academy in 2012. We tailor our lessons to each student, giving them the tools to be able to read music and apply the fundamentals of theory. From our experience, this approach - along with regular practice – allows students to play any style of music on their own. Over the years, the success of our program has revealed itself in many ways, including its high level of student retention. Many of our students started learning piano with Tracey Steele as young children and continue to this day in their 20’s! The experience that Tracey has acquired over 30 years is re-assuring to parents, but at the same time she brings a youthful energy to her teaching that is motivating to her students. Tracey's students regard TSM Academy as a “second home” where they can feel comfortable, work hard, and acquire life lasting skills while making beautiful music.
