Long before the Eco movement became smart, Marsha Peterson, Founder of Trade Secrets Interiors was ‘green decorating’ for her clients. She established Trade Secrets Interiors to provide an alternative to traditional design services. Her service helps homeowners achieve a “designer look” while using all of their own things - eliminating the need to buy all new furniture. The firm is also certified in Real Estate Staging, with special programs to assist Realtors and homeowners in preparing homes for market – before, during and after the sale. “Recycling isn’t just about newspapers and plastic bottles. You’ve collected your pieces through the years because they have special appeal to you,” Marsha says. “At Trade Secrets, we help you build on what you’ve already chosen to create a new, fresh look using the things you already own… things that reflect you, your personality and lifestyle. “ With years of experience in merchandising for some of the country’s best-known retailers, Marsha’s skills at coordinating colors, textures and scale takes ordinary homes – and workspaces - from so-so to spectacular. “I see possibilities when you may only see problems,” she says. “By carefully re-styling what’s there and adding a few new elements, we can design great new decors.” Whether it was moving pieces from one room to another, integrating old family pieces, or merging households, she re-styles for her clients in hours instead of months.
