It all starts with Cheryl. Cheryl Herzog’s career as a fitness professional began as a Division I Collegiate Athlete. During her summer breaks, Cheryl’s training regimen was so intense, it gained notoriety around Sea Isle City, NJ, so much so that she began to offer private basketball training to those who wanted in on the secrets of success as a 5’2″ point guard with a full scholarship. As a college graduate Cheryl returned to the Jersey Shore determined to expand her fitness training empire after a stint as a personal trainer in California. Train With Cheryl Fitness was born. While continuing to grow her brand down the shore and in the Philadelphia area, Cheryl’s reputation and business venture began to soar. With very little advertising and only word of mouth, Train With Cheryl Fitness became synonymous with high energy private workouts and group fitness classes. Namely, Beach Boot Camp – the first of its kind on the Jersey Shore, has hundreds of participants over the years and a tremendous following. By 2008 it was time to take it to the next level. Cheryl opened the first version of Surfside Fitness on the second floor of legendary Pfeifers Store and immediately saw the potential to become the premier fitness center in Sea Isle City. In 2011, Surfside Fitness was ready to spread its wings again, opening its doors to the Avalon Community at 21st & Dune Drive – with a larger footprint at 4000 square feet. Surfside Fitness IS the premier fitness location at the Jersey Shore for a clean boutique gym, offering everything you need as well as personal training, group fitness classes, & beach boot camp!
