About Trainer April

April Kennedy grew up in Bellingham, Washington. She struggled with finding the balance between her love of food and being healthy. When she was in her early teens, her doctor told her she had high cholesterol and about 20lbs to lose. This was a huge shock, but also very motivating to start changing her routine. Realizing how unbalanced her life was she joined a gym and started making healthier food choices. By the time she graduated from high school she was maintaining a healthy weight and had normal cholesterol levels. This lifestyle change propelled her into the fitness industry. April graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Washington State University in 2009. She is a NASM and NCCPT certified personal trainer. Her passion is to help people live the life they want and to show people the life they are capable of living. Life can be crazy and hectic but April believes it is always important to give yourself time to improve both mentally and physically. April specializes in working with the active aging population, injury prevention/rehabilitation, weight loss and endurance training. It is important to April that you are enjoying the process of becoming more healthy and fit. To truly achieve greatness you must push past your comfort zone, but April is there to ensure you are always safe and supported. She hopes to be able to work with you soon! When not training or at the gym, April can be found hanging out with her Husband AJ and their two dogs, Java and Benny. They love spending their weekends at Priest Lake in the summer, kayaking, hiking and relaxing. April & AJ enjoy traveling to new places, but their favorite place to visit is Hawai'i.
