We have many years of specialist experience in helping LGV drivers and haulage contractors keep up to date with their skills and compliance with UK and EU regulations.We provide a friendly and well equipped environment for your training.Part of NDGTC.All our ADR courses are accredited by SQA on behalf of the DSA. Periodic training is continuing professional development for bus, coach and lorry drivers. All drivers must undertake 35 hours training in every five year period.The minimum length of a training course that contributes to the requirement is 7 hours excluding breaks and administration time. Periodic training is designed to improve knowledge of the driver and includes tachograph regulations, disability awareness and safe and fuel efficient driving. Driver CPC applies to all new and existing drivers who drive professionally and who require an LGV or PCV licence in order to do their job.All drivers of PCV vehicles, holding a full category D, D1, D+E or D1+E licence at 10 September 2008, need to complete 35 hours of periodic training before 10 September 2013, unless exempt .After this, drivers must continue to undertake a further 35 hours of training in every subsequent 5 year period in order to retain their Driver CPC.
