Tranquility Base was developed as Open Source Software under Apache 2.0 licencing so that everyone can access best practice cloud adoption without restrictions. With Tranquility Base, organisations can migrate to Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure far more quickly than before. Tranquility Base provides a proven, secure Landing Zone implemented using Terraform code. The modularised code contains deep engineering experience in building automated cloud infrastructure. We believe Tranquility Base accelerates cloud adoption because a large amount of cloud infrastructure is required before applications can be migrated. In addition to this, a lot of this infrastructure is also needed across more than one provider if firms want to build multi-cloud solutions. And unless you have access to deep expertise across many technology and implementation disciplines this is very hard to do. In our experience, most firms are struggle to access all the required skills and lack the controls and operating models required to create a secure managed cloud environment. We have seen across many projects, that huge amounts of work is being repeated unnecessarily and is further hampered by slow approvals and inefficient manual processes. Tranquility Base provides consistent, automated and versionable deployment of infrastructure. Development teams struggle to access best-practice deployment strategies – particularly around continuous delivery and continuous deployment. They want to own the code and not be locked into a vendor or have to layer on top of their existing cloud providers. Tranquility Base is the enabler of all of this and more. We are passionate about DevOps and using IaC to achieve the highest levels of agility and site reliability. To this end we have used our extensive experience to build a library of code that is proven to be the best practice way of delivering modern cloud applications.
