About Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG Cancer Research)
The Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG Cancer Research) conducts world-class research involving radiotherapy to improve outcomes and quality of life for people affected by cancer. Our trial portfolio encompasses research into all tumour sites that can be treated with radiotherapy including skin, breast, prostate and bladder, lung, head & neck, and gynaecological cancers. TROG is a network of over 1,200 health professionals conducting research across Australia and New Zealand. TROG membership is held by the majority of radiation oncologists in Australia and also consists of radiation therapists, clinical trial coordinators, data managers, medical physicists, nurses, statisticians, medical oncologists, surgeons and registrars. TROG clinical trials are run at more than 200 international sites in countries including Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, The Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil, Singapore and India. In 2013, TROG received the 'Innovation in Cancer Clinical Trials' award at the NSW Premiers Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research. TROG is one of 14 National Cancer Cooperative Trials Groups. We are a not-for-profit organisation. TROG's Central Operations Office is fully equipped to provide full trial coordination centre activities from the time of trial concept through to completion and publication in medical journals.
