Trans4m Communiversity Associates (TCA) is an innovative new global venture that combines the best of co-creative consultancy, with an analytical edge that will transform your local society. Developed over forty years, through the work of Trans4m, TCA offers tools and techniques for releasing what we call a Communiversity. That is a local learning space for liberating the DNA of your culture, so that people generate new ways of releasing their potential, economically, socially, culturally and communally. TCA is a local-global inter-institutional “worlds-wide” vehicle for socio-economic regeneration, rooted in a particular world, while reaching out to others. Unlike “development” or “modernisation”, regeneration starts form within. As such our particular Communi-versity, as opposed to a standardised “university”, is Grounded locally in nature and Community; facilitates the Emergence of a particular culture and society,localy-globally, through a consciousness raising Pilgrimium; via a research Academy Navigates a newly global path through social innovation; ultimately, and globally-locally, Effects an integral transformation of self and community, organisation and society, through a socio-economic Laboratory. The idea of the Communiversity has arisen out of the increasing recognition that Western ‘Mode 1’ universities are failing to meet the needs of many local communities, not only in the so-called ‘developing world’ but, also, in the ‘left-behind developed world’. Whilst the Communiversity is unable to address all these issues, it is one tool amongst many, which can assist in connecting people, communities and cultures to a model of collaborative learning that helps to make sense of who we are and what we can contribute.
