TRANSFORMA Theatre Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Organization dedicated to creating interactive theatre experiences at the convergence of science, consciousness and ritual. Do you live in the gut of YouTube and Ted? Are you a junkie of cognitive orgasms? Do you wonder and amaze as aspects of science fiction are becoming reality? Join us at our theatre where performances are paired with live scientific demonstrations right in front of you and we create new realities with immersive high tech including you as a participant! We are here to blow your mind and create unique ecstatic group experiences. Transforma is known for an interactive theatre show called The Female Role Model Project which uses EEG headsets live on stage to investigate contemporary gender structures from the perspective of four completely different female identifying devisers sharing their autobiographical stories through a series of interactive games. It’s trying to catch a glimpse of what the underlying neurobiology of experiencing different female role models is. It was produced Off-Broadway in New York and at Edinburgh Fringe as well as at Biennial of Art and Technology at Ammerman Symposium. We received an Honorable mention in the Creativity category of Fast Company's World Changing Ideas Awards and a nomination for the outstanding innovative design at New York Innovative Theatre Awards. COMING UP: Our next project is dedicated to men. Our goal is to create a theatre piece focusing on perceptions of masculinity and shifting paradigms of what being a man means in 2020 and beyond. The design will include biodata and live 3D printing on stage.
