In 2020, LaSalle County farmers Joe and Nathalie Schmidt witnessed the challenges Ugandan farmers faced in sustaining their crops and feeding their families. Determined to make a difference, they launched the TUF (Transforming Ugandan Farmers) initiative, aiming to provide agronomy education, improved seeds, and vital agricultural inputs to these hardworking farmers. Thanks to the incredible support from our partners, TUF has transformed the lives of over 240 Ugandan farmers and their families, multiplying their harvests by 3 to 5 times!
