About Translational Data Science - Facility

The Translational Data Science (TDS) group proposes Bioinformatics and Statistical Services to analyze high-throughput biological data, particularly in the field of oncology. Our team is composed of 8 highly motivated bioinformaticians at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB), with different backgrounds and expertise. We have over 15 years of experience in cancer research, tumor microenvironment, but also vaccinology, virology, and other medical research topics. The group actively participates in fundamental and translational research by providing expertise in Data Analysis of single-cell and bulk RNAseq, TCRseq, CITEseq, ChIPseq, ATACseq, HiC, spatial transcriptomics and various other (multi-omics) sequencing technologies. We have also proficiency in machine learning, multivariate regression, mixed-effect modeling, and longitudinal data analyses. We help scientists to exploit large data efficiently, depending on their specific needs, through collaboration, a bioinformatics helpdesk and relevant training. We focus on providing solutions based on free and open-source software.
