Since 1999, Translucency has been using real-world data and clinical insights to inform strategic planning, support applications (such as coding, listing, and pathway applications), assess likely uptake, provide practical methodological advice, facilitate market access and secure reimbursement. Reimbursement systems are increasingly based on principles of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and health economics. Our mission is to apply that framework creatively to the practical problems our clients face when seeking reimbursement, including imperfect clinical evidence, limited economic data, and non-financial barriers to adoption. Over the years, we have worked mainly in devices, drug/device combinations, and diagnostics spaces but we have supported pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and healthcare services products. We have worked in 14 countries in Western Europe and on products involving every body system. Deliverables include evidence reviews, cost modelling, payor and reimbursement submissions, evidence-based tools for use with customers, analyses of commercial potential, briefings, and data analysis.
