Transon provides hands-on assistance to businesses seeking capital from private institutional sources and banks, for growth, acquisitions, sale of equity or MBOs. Transon works with owners and management teams on strategy, business planning, implementation, sales growth, cost-control and cash management in order to maximise the company’s value prior to bringing a new equity investor on board. Transon’s directors bring to the funding challenge the knowledge and methodology gained from over 20 years’ management and 30 years’ transaction experience, and from successfully raising over £800m of Private Equity and debt funding for UK businesses. Transon criteria • Finance for growth, acquisitions, sale of equity (i.e. owner selling a stake in the business) or MBOs. • Privately-owned businesses (owner-managed, family or private equity) or subsidiaries of larger plcs wishing to organise an MBO. • Scale of business: typically sales of £5m to £100m. • Scale of investment: typically £2m to £50m. • Sectors: industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, business services, distribution and general commercial sectors. Transon methodology • Completes a value review of the business in the light of the owners’ objectives. • Helps owners and management to create a plan, to maximise the value for the existing equity and the probability of success. • This transition plan defines key short and long term objectives and is endorsed by key stakeholders. • Helps implement the transition plan in a hands-on role as part of the management team. • Helps the management team to prepare a credible and detailed business plan suitable for new investors. • Provides hands-on support, working with management and other advisers, to manage the transaction to a successful completion.
