About Transparent Hospitality

Set out to bring craft and artisanship to Reno, Nevada, Transparent Hospitality’s restaurants and grocery have quickly become a foothold within the city, nourishing the community with carefully crafted sourdough, succulent rotisserie chicken, uniquely curated market products, and most notably, their handmade croissants, a local staple. Aubrey and Tyler O’Laskey met while studying at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in New York. Shortly after graduation, they returned near Aubrey’s hometown in Reno, Nevada where they brought their skills, education, and unique perspectives around food to locals and the greater Lake Tahoe area. Aubrey and Tyler founded Butter + Salt, pioneering a new wave of elevated catering. Butter + Salt grew a reputation for having some of the best bread in the greater Lake Tahoe area, and Aubrey and Tyler started formulating plans to open a bakery – and thus Perenn Midtown was born. Perenn currently has two locations in Midtown and the Village at Rancharrah. In 2022, Aubrey and Tyler opened Claio Rotisserie, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant on Mayberry Drive centered around rotisserie dishes and easy takeout options. As the duo embarks on their twelfth year of business together, their restaurant group has found a new identity in the name Transparent Hospitality, opened Perenn Grocery in March 2024, and is currently expanding operations in the Nashville-Franlin area in Tennessee. As the company continues to grow, the mission remains the same: continue to offer creativity through taste, texture, and quality in unparalleled settings.
