About Transpetrol TM
Transpetrol is an independent, fully integrated, ship-owning company with a history stretching back over 30 years. We have a truly international workforce of 27 employees on shore in four different countries and approximately 600 seafarers and 15 vessels serving clients around the globe. We are focused exclusively on the safe transportation of oil, refined petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas. The company’s current fleet consists of modern ships, 13 double-hull tankers in the range 45,000 to 110,000dwt and two VLGCs, all built and delivered directly to us by leading shipyards in Korea and Japan. While acquiring and maintaining a fleet of premium tonnage is one of our highest priorities, we nonetheless regard the professionalism of our personnel as the single most important factor in meeting the needs of our clients. Properly trained and qualified staff are our most indispensable asset, and in this context our longstanding cadet program forms an integral part of our obligation to the future. Transpetrol enjoys enduring and significant support from some of the leading banks in ship financing and aims to further strengthen itself through close association with clients and partners sharing the same commitment to safe transportation and care for the environment. Despite the continuing pressures on global markets we believe that compromising on safety is never an option, and 2010 proved to be our safest year ever.
