About Transportation Research Center
Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) is North America’s most comprehensive independent automotive test center and proving ground. Providing a full range of testing, validation and research opportunities for the world’s innovators in automotive and mobility technologies. On 4,500 acres, TRC Inc. operates 24/7/359 offering numerous facilities including a 7.5-mile high-speed test track, a 50-acre vehicle dynamics area, 9,000-foot skid pad, durability and performance driving areas. TRC Inc. also boasts emissions, static and crash laboratories on site. TRC Inc. has allocated 540 acres of our 4,500-acre site to create environments specifically catered to the development of advanced vehicle technologies. This development focuses on replicating environments not found in traditional proving ground design. The SMARTCenter as it is called includes a 1.2-mile, six lane high speed signalized intersection, an urban network including three large city blocks and a 500-foot diameter circle, and a 20-acre vehicle dynamics area.
