About Trauma and Therapy Center of TN.
Trauma & Therapy Center of Tennessee, PLLC is dedicated to the highest quality of trauma-competent care delivered within an educational, collaborative team model built on intentionality, radical authenticity, compassion, inclusion, and support, ensuring that those affected by trauma, addiction, and mental illness have the opportunity to not only improve their quality of life, but also obtain healing, a sense of wholeness, and a renewed purpose with their stories! We are creating the industry standard for trauma-competent care for the whole family. Trauma & Therapy Center Of Tennessee, PLLC Adheres By The Following Guiding Treatment Principles: 1. Problems occur in context. To understand and solve a person's problem, we must understand the situation in which it arises. 2. Without adequate understanding and resources to assist with change, we are bound to repeat what we fail to repair, no matter how hard we try prevent it. 3. The key to evidenced based care is ensuring that you are getting a return on your investment. By getting a baseline and tracking outcomes, we become accountable to our clients for the care we provide. 4. Trauma-competent therapy is the key to understanding experiences, without becoming flooded, overwhelmed, or re-traumatized when addressing painful events. 5. As trauma-competent counselors and therapists, safety is a top priority. We believe our clients need a felt sense of physical and emotional safety in the therapy process before healing can occur. 6. Pacing protects the process and prioritizes safety. We understand that some are ready to get to the root of pain, while others need a significant amount of time to build trust, and most are somewhere in between. We meet clients where they are and provide the resources needed BEFORE we do the trauma work. 7. The therapist/client relationship is the single most important aspect of therapy as it’s the best the predictor of having desired therapeutic outcomes.
