About Treasury Historical Association

The Treasury Historical Association (THA), est'd. in 1973, assists the Treasury Department in restoring its historic Building and in fostering education on the history of the Department and its bureaus. THA is managed by the volunteer Board of Directors, with funding from tax-deductible contributions and sale of THA books/products. It is a membership organization. THA's first mission is assisting in many restoration projects and donating important items to the Department, totaling over $750,000. THA's second mission is providing education through its noontime lecture program in the Treasury Building Cash Room and THA's books: "Fortress of Finance: The United States Treasury Building" and "Birthplace of Bureaus: The United States Treasury Department."
