About Tree of Life Foundation

The Foundation for Support of the 2008 Conflict Victims was established in 2008. The main goal of establishment of the Foundation was to provide the aid to the people affected as a result of the events of August 2008. Through the assistance, the restoration of educational institutions was started, rehabilitation projects for young mothers and children were implemented, the special courses for beginners in business were funded in the zone of conflict, as well as the activities were carried out in order to restore the forests burnt during the August conflict. The Foundation supported the opening of the family-type children's home in Rustavi. Since 2014, the Foundation announced the new areas which include the aid to the children with disabilities, support for education and the environment. The Foundation “Tree of Life” implements the sustainable projects to support children with disabilities. The projects are implemented in cooperation with partner organizations. From time to time the Foundation “Tree of Life” announces grant competitions. NGOs involved in the issues related to the persons with disabilities, advocacy groups, communities and other relevant institutions can receive a grant. The funds allocated in kind of a grant are used in the infrastructure, education and integration-targeted programs.
