Our vision: Every child rooted in family and community. For 20 years, Treehouse has worked to transform child welfare. We deliver our impactful work by centering innovation, inspiration, and collaboration. INNOVATION The Treehouse intergenerational community model We created a replicable, affordable housing model. Our neighborhoods support families parenting kids from foster care and young people at risk of "aging out" alone. We also support older adults who serve as honorary grandparents. At Treehouse, four generations purposely invest in each other's lives with proven results. Building a national network of lived-experience leaders We spotlight leaders directly impacted by the system — Re•Envisioning Foster Care Champions. Their wisdom and expertise help drive a smarter, more focused national dialogue. Their work re-engineers the child welfare system, from federal legislation to community programs. INSPIRATION Conversations that broaden understanding and promote curiosity Our INNOVATE! Podcast delivers first-person stories and ideas from exciting lived-experience activists, authors, and more. They deepen our understanding of foster care, its aftermath, and ways we can change. Treehouse’s national Re•Envisioning Foster Care Conferences bring Champions to the stage. They engage with policymakers, lawyers, social workers, and educators by sharing impactful programs. They seed ideas with business and foundation leaders. COLLABORATION Partnering with advocates across all disciplines Our intergenerational communities come to life through collaboration. Our model leverages a blend of public/private resources. We bring together housing developers, social service agencies, and arts organizations. We also engage the community to ensure the best outcome for kids.
