We’re just ordinary people. We go to movies, read books, chat online and have lives. Do we care about the environment? Of course we do. Do our weekly budgets have a Clean Air section under groceries? Nope. Do we drop a few coins in the Save the Rain Forest jar? Sure, if we have spare change. So yeah, we care about the environment, but we don’t lose sleep over it. We’re what we’ve called environorms - perfectly normal human beings who care about the environment but rarely get around to doing something about it. Once upon a time a few of us environorms thought it might be fun to bring a bunch of people like us together to chat and do other interesting stuff. Then we had this crazy idea: since we’d have all these like-minded people in one place, maybe we could even do something beneficial (in effortless environorm style, of course). We called it Treenex: The Treenex Network lets you do all the fun things that you should be able to do on any self-respecting network: chat, make new friends, create profiles, write announcements, browse other users with similar interests, form groups, coordinate activities, create blogs, join forums, etc., and Treenex will continuously add new things to discover and do. What’s special about this network is its users and environmental angle. Most Treenexers are environorms. So when you get a group of environorms online and provide interesting facts, news, tips and incentives on a particular topic, some of the ongoing chat might cover that topic, some of it may develop into a discussion, and discussions can generate ideas that have impact. Speaking of impact, Treenexers already have an impact on the environment just by registering for a Treenex Tree. Each and every Treenexer (that’s you) gets a tree to plant and own. It won’t cost you anything or make you sweat, and the more Treenexers there are the more trees we add to our little world, and we all know that’s good, right?
