About Trek Aerospace
Developers of VTOL (Vertical Take-off and Landing) flight solutions and drones with more payload and performance through the use of shrouded propellers (ducted fans) and air frame design. Trek assists companies in the design, fabrication, and licencing of projects involving shrouded propellers and/or autonomous control systems. Our core technology has the highest thrust to hp/kw in the industry. Allowing vehicles to carry a lot of weight in a small footprint. Trek’s shrouded props require far less power, meaning fewer batteries, further range, greater payload capacity, and longer loiter times. In May 2016 our electric Personal Air Vehicle (PAV) proof of concept FlyKart, successfully flew un-tethered during our unmanned test flight. (As shown in the video.) Additional Flight Testing Stats: October 20, 2003, TrekAero's single person VTOL aircraft, successfully completed its first un-tethered hover. Manned, free forward flight was achieved in March 16, 2005 with the Springtail EFV (Exoskeleton Flying Vehicle).
