About Trend Academy

The Trend Academy is the UK’s first platform to focus solely on fashion x wellness. We seek out and turn the spotlight on the trailblazers, wave-makers and bigger-picture thinkers that are prioritising sustainability and wellness over product or profit. We have lived and loved the fashion industry from the inside; we see its darkness as well as its beauty. Designers burn out, brands struggle, but there is also a community doing it differently. We aim to support you in living a more sustainable and healthy life in the creative industries, sharing well-researched articles, a curated brand directory, founder Interviews + expert insider views, industry talks, and a wealth of resources. We want every one and every business to be able to burn bright, not burn out. The fashion industry is everything: it’s fast-paced, electric, creative, daring – but demanding. It can sadly include, or conceal "systematic discrimination, unsustainable lifestyles and a widespread burnout culture" according to Vogue Business. Without real change, the industry risks a mass talent exodus. We want to do our part to help change this. So we built The TA around 6 core values: Wellbeing, Sustainable Heart, People Over Profit, Community, Education, Trailblazer. Each of these values contributes to the compassion, conscience and change we want to see in the industry. We want to see its awesome talent feel empowered and inspired enough to take risks, fail, innovate and trail-blaze – all without neglecting their wellbeing in the process.
