Our name, Tri Carragh [tree ka-rah], is Gaelic for ‘three pillars’. It’s a nod and celebration to the foundation and three core ingredients which create Whisky. Water, barley and yeast have been used for centuries to produce Scotland’s finest spirit and when put through their paces and left to rest for years in oak casks, they create a unique liquid, every single time. Having both worked in the whisky industry for over 10 years, friends Ola Lopatowska and Ryan McCafferty decided to create Tri Carragh Scotch Whisky. An independent bottling brand, that reflects what they love about whisky, in particular, single cask whisky. A spirit of the highest quality, unique in character, to be enjoyed with friends and family. We understand that when it comes to whisky, it’s a personal and often subjective choice. We’re not for those who believe a whisky drinker must look or drink a certain way. Tri Carragh is for those people who are open to sharing thoughts, experiences and stories. We keep things simple and original; no colouring and non-chill filtered. Coincidently 😉 Tri Carragh also represents our three core values.
