About TRI-MAX™ CAFS | Compressed Air Foam Fire Suppression Systems
The TRI-MAX Advantage TRI-MAX Compressed Air Foam (CAF) technology provides both fire prevention and fire extinguishing capability. Dry chemical or inert gas extinguishers can be ineffective and do not have sufficient vapor sealing or cooling capabilities. The TRI-MAX systems allow for a much greater and safer standoff distance in a high capacity system. The patented TRI-MAX CAF technology creates a cold, durable, vapor-sealing foam blanket. The cold dense foam adheres to the fuel surface and resists heat longer than ordinary foams. The foam blanket prevents ignition, re-ignition and release of toxic vapors from flammable liquid or toxic chemical spills. For more than a decade, the TRI-MAX brand has been synonymous with quality and innovation in the fire technology industry. Founded by Dave Mahrt, Kingsway Industries Inc., the manufacturer of TRI-MAX, has sold over 12,000 fire suppression systems to the military, public agencies, industrial contractors and private companies worldwide. As a gun ship helicopter pilot and Chief Warrant Officer in Vietnam, and a Forest Service contracted fire suppression pilot for over 20 years, Dave witnessed firsthand the inadequacy of today's equipment and its inability to combat fires efficiently. Committed to making the trade a safer place, he created what is known today as the "TRI-MAX family" of fire suppression systems. His company has assembled a team of engineers, firefighters, production workers, office and sales personnel who share a common commitment to providing superior firefighting products.
