About Tribotextil
Tribotextil is an industrial startup in a pre-commercial phase with the vision to become a world leading alternative to lubricants when 3D shaping sheet-metal. To metal stamping manufacturing companies we are offering a new patented press technology based on a thin and very strong textile that replaces lubricants when stamping sheet metal, primarily when bending sheet metal but also applicable in certain deep drawing and stretch forming applications. The fabric that is reused for a large number of stamps also protects the sheet metal from mechanical damages from the stamping tools. No metal coatings stick to the stamping tools and there is no need to wash away residue from lubricants from the sheet metal, which reduces your production costs. The fabric is environmentally friendly and decreases the CO2 equiviliants with 90% compared to the use of lubricants, an important aspect when striving for a sustainible manufacturing industry. Benefits of Tribotextil™: - The fabric remains in the pad after the stamp - No damages or scratches on the sheet metal from the stamping tools. - High number of stamps using the same fabric - Reduces the risk of spring resillience - Environmentally friendly Today we have customers using Tribotextil™ when bending 1-10mm aluminium, anodized aluminium and stainless steel in different qualities with demands of high surface finish. The 10 mm stainless steel product is manufactured for the food industry, where lubricants are banned. Titanium has been bended with great success without any damages or cracks. If you have clients today demanding a high surface finish, Tribotextil™ can be a better alternative solution to the products you’re using today, and we’d be happy to offer you the opportunity to test our product.
