TriMob is a First Nations Nonprofit that is using strength-based approaches to empower First Nations Australians using the sport of Triathlon. Our aim is to improve the overall health outcomes of First Nations peoples, whilst bringing ‘deadliness’ to Triathlon and the world. At TRIMOB our Dreaming is; -Empower First Nations people to improve their physical health & emotional wellbeing -Increase the participation and retention of First Nations people participating in triathlon and endurance sports -Support more Australians to learn and connect with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures How We Empower; -Health: We provide culturally safe programs that are improving the health and well-being of First Nations people. By taking on gruelling physical challenges we not only improve our Mobs' physical health outcomes, but we also strengthen social connections and pride in being a First Nations person, which also leads to improved mental wellbeing. -Participation: We are going to support First Nations People to complete the hardest one-day sporting event in the world by completing an Ironman Triathlon. This will create a ripple effect over the next 10 years, where we aim to empower 10,000 First Nations People to participate in triathlon-based events. -Performance: We will empower First Nations youth to represent their state and country at an elite level across swim, bike and run. -Society: By providing the opportunity for all Australians to connect with and celebrate First Nations Culture, we naturally create a pathway to a healthier society. -Education: We help organisations and individuals understand how they can best become an ally of First Nations Peoples and celebrate their culture.
