About Trips For Kids Bay Area
Trips for Kids Bay Area is on a mission to provide transformative cycling experiences for underserved youth. Through mountain bike rides, mechanical skills training, and environmental education, we help youth build self-esteem, discover healthy lifestyles, and develop a love for the outdoors. Founded in 1988 in San Rafael, CA, our Marin chapter partners with more than 400 local agencies and organizations to serve youth across the San Francisco Bay Area. Our most popular programs include Trail Rides, Earn-A-Bike, and Mobile Bike Workshops, along with our community-centered Re-Cyclery Bike Shop. Since 1994, Trips for Kids Bay Area has inspired over 70 chapters nationwide, positively impacting tens of thousands of young people. Each ride empowers kids with confidence, environmental awareness, and healthy habits—all through the simple joy of riding a bike.
