TRM Consulting provides IT audit and risk management consulting services to clients in Toronto on a project basis. The company was formed by Mike Tankersley in Chicago in 2013 and has newly relocated to Toronto. Mike is a senior technology risk consulting professional with 20 years’ experience in the IT audit and risk management field. His first 11 years were spent with the Big Four (Deloitte Chicago, PwC Paris) before spending the next 4 in consulting sales and recruitment roles. In 2013, he started TRM Consulting, a sole-proprietor venture aimed to provide IT risk management consulting services to clients on a project basis. Mike possesses strong technical audit skills coupled with excellent interpersonal communication and relationship management skills, giving him a rare combination of abilities. * Established TRM Consulting in 2013, a $300,000 IT risk management consulting business * Executed more than 250 IT/business process control reviews across an array of technologies, processes and frameworks * Eleven years’ experience with the Big Four (Deloitte Chicago, PwC Paris) providing IT risk management consulting services * Managed more than 50 consulting projects with teams of 8 and budgets up to $1 million * Highly competent in new business development; demonstrable record of exceeding sales targets and expanding consulting budgets * Effective recruiter - Three years' experience sourcing and interviewing senior candidates in the IT audit space * 2500 hours’ experience in training facilitation * Sector expertise: financial services, manufacturing, consumer products * Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
