About Tropic Air Belize
Traveler’s Choice Airlines Award in the Specialty and Leisure category in Latin America. Founded in 1979 by John Greif III with just a single airplane and two employees, Tropic has steadily grown to become the largest and most experienced airline in Belize. We now employ over 200 staff and offer over 200 daily scheduled flights. Since our inaugural flight over 40 years ago, Tropic Air has been a leader in the introduction of modern aircraft technology in the domestic market in Belize. We have played a key role in the promotion of the tourism industry within the country, and have always been committed to the growth of this sector. Tropic Air is dedicated to the highest quality of customer service, delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride, and company spirit. The success of our business strategy requires us to build on these foundations by focusing each day on the business, leisure and cargo markets and by driving efficiency and effectiveness. Tropic Air is also the only airline in Belize to have IATA Standard Safety Assessment (ISSA) Registration. Cargo is an important part of the airline’s business. Tropic provides scheduled cargo service to all its destinations, offering clients same day transportation of mail, packages and perishable items. Cargo charters are also available. Tropic Air operates fifteen Cessna Grand Caravans (208B) – Glass Cockpit, two Cessna T182T’s – Glass Cockpit, and one Beechcraft 1900D. These aircraft are configured for three to nineteen passengers. Tropic also believes in giving back. It supports the development of the communities it serves through health, sports, drug prevention, education and community projects. Tropic supports the development and growth of the wider tourism industry of Belize through promotional initiatives locally and internationally.
