truckersfinalmile.org is a leading IRS recognized 501 (c) (3) Charity Organization serving the trucking industry throughout North America. truckersfinalmile.org has a distinct Mission: to reunite North American Truck Drivers and Their Family in Times of Crisis. truckersfinalmile.org is a "2016 and 2017 Top Nonprofit" at www.greatnonprofits.org and is rated a "Platinum Level" participant for transparency at www.guidestar.org. These two distinctions make truckersfinalmile.org the highest professionally rated Charity Organization serving the entire trucking industry. Multiple Programs which support the Charity's Mission include transportation home of remains should a trucker pass away on the road away from home, transportation home in event of severe on the job injury, transportation home in cases of sudden onset emergency medical episodes, and transportation home should loss of life or life threatening emergencies occur to an immediate family member at home. (This would include loss of home due to fire, tornado or such). An additional Programs to improve quality of life include the mobility Program in which the Charity would provide for handicap ramps, door and hallway widening, and other accessibility improvements at the truckers home following a career ending on the job related permanent disabling injury. Each July, truckersfinalmile.org launches their annual "Sleigh Bells and Santa" Christmas campaign for the children of truck drivers that had passed away out on the road away from home. Each years, monies are disbursed to families to try to help children endure that first Christmas without their trucker parent.
