About Trudies Kitchen
Trudies Catering Kitchen is based outside New Ross, Co. Wexford. It was set up on the 1st September 2000 by Trudie and Michael Power. Within weeks we had four additional team members and have grown continuously to 22 team members today. In 2003 business had grown considerably and we had outgrown our existing premises. We moved to our current building in May 2003 where we have grown and expanded annually. Initially we produced sandwiches and salads. We now provide a banqueting service to the domestic and corporate sector catering for functions of all sizes and all occasions. We now supply Tesco, Caulfield-McCarthy Group, Pettits, SuperValu, Dunnes Stores, Centra, Spar, Londis, Scallans Wexford, Gala Stores, Mace Stores, Waterford Institute of Technology, Hook Lighthouse and numerous shops, hotels and restaurants in Leinster. The company has won numerous awards, most notably the EIQA National Hygiene Award for manufacturing and distribution in 2007. We were finalists in 2005 and 2006. In 2010 we also won the EIQA first place in the Processor and Producer category. Trudies Catering Kitchen won Kilkenny County Enterprise Business Award in 2003 and also won the Opera Festival Best Overall Food Stand in 2001. Since the business was set up it has grown from strength to strength. The product range has expanded from sandwiches and pre-packed salads to bulk sized salads, lunch pack’s, rolls, open brown bread sandwiches, wraps and pasta salads. The banqueting service provided includes meat and salmon platters. We currently employ 22 members of staff compromising of administration personnel, delivery drivers, sales director, production supervisor, shift supervisor and production personnel.
