About Trueform Physio Pilates

A Physio led Pilates Clinic offering an integration of Physiotherapy and Pilates providing a powerful rehab plan that will fast-track your healing on your journey from Pain to Peace. Trueform has been in development over the last 18 years. I began developing the business in 2005, having previously worked in the fitness and exercise fields with Pilates as an addition. Over time, my understanding has grown because of my growing awareness of the industry's depth and breadth and its potential. Following my original basic training, my first five years of teaching Pilates was grounded in an approach that was more exercise-based. I came to see that this wasn’t addressing the deeper issues that my patients frequently brought to me. It was this need that spurred me to seek more specialised training. As a result, I’ve developed programmes from my decade spent in training in globally recognised training courses such as Polestar Pilates, Body Control Pilates and APPI – Australian Pilates Physiotherapy Institute. Together with over 18,000 hours of hands-on teaching practice I now have the breadth and depth of expertise that allows me to aid and support people effectively. As the business model developed and the patient type became more specific, I realised that there was a need for every new patient to be assessed clinically with a MSK physiotherapist prior to working with them. This has prompted the current business model that Trueform adopts which is part of all our introduction Pain to Peace programs. The people that I now support and serve fit into a more complex cohort and predominantly are the patients that might not feel so comfortable in the general and more fitness-based Pilates studios.
