“Tsarina” Jewelry was established in 1988 by Orit Hershkowitz, the senior designer of the company. Like in a fairy tale, Orit's start was completely by chance and very magical, when they had moved to a new home and had stumbled upon an old armoir in one of the rooms. Orit decided to remove the lock, and using it, created a Crusader like brooch. Metaphorically, the key “fit” the “lock” perfectly, and when a certain company convinced Orit to sell them the jewel that she had created, a door to the world of crafting jewelry was opened before her. As the years progressed, the company flourished and grew, and Orit's husband, Menachem joined the company and proceeded to develop the companies' overseas market. “Tsarina” creations can be seen all over the world in such countries as England, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, and also a number of prestigious galleries in the United States located in Las Vegas and on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. In Israel, you can see her creations in upscale galleries and boutiques, as well as a full collection in the private “Tsarina” studio located in Herzlia Pituach. Situated in the same building is the workshop of “Tsarina” that now employees 15 talented craftsmen that hand make every “Tsarina” creation. The unique style of Orit's jewlery is obtained by using Swarovski Crystals, semi-precious gems, polished glass, pearls, leather, and metal the comes in 24K gold, copper, bronze and both shiny and antique silver coatings.
