About Tsukure Hub

In 2018 Euan Shields started Tsukure, a rapid prototyping company based in George Street, Ayr. The following year expansion necessitated relocation and opportunities to launch a community maker space were seized. It was only a further nine months when opportunities coincided with personal goals, and Tsukure developed into Tsukure Hub CIC, once again relocating from the new 3,000 m2 premises to the 10,000 m2 complex opposite on the High Street. During which time Tsukure had begun working with Autistic adults in developing personal skills revolved around problem solving and using the advanced technologies brought by Tsukure. The goal of Tsukure Hub CIC is to primarily educate and define the symbiotic relationship between good engineering practices and creative design. To achieve this Tsukure Hub CIC continues to develop prototypes for private companies and individuals, more recently working alongside the NHS and National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland. The organisation also runs free community workshops in conjunction with South Ayrshire Council both on and off site. Within the complex itself the organisation primarily launched its creative exhibition / event space which had been booked solid through to the end of August with exhibitions of art, photography, video and Science Fiction Fair. Within the Hub Gallery there is also a Laboratory where the organisation is currently experimenting with growing micro-greens hydroponically. Students from ABC Home Education Groups have been assisting with this project and were progressing to the stage of programming Raspberry Pi’s and Arduino Microcontrollers to facilitate health monitoring and environmental control. At the end of March Tsukure Hub CIC opened its own “Collaboration” Café.
