About Tub King

Tub King was established in 1993 by brothers, Alan and Kerry Knight. They started off as a small Alabama business doing bathtub refinishing. They eventually started purchasing vintage and antique clawfoot bathtubs to repair and refinish for sale. A few years later they relocated the business to Florida where they opened a showroom and warehouse. They had antique and vintage bath tubs freighted in from all over the country. They were eventually sponsored and hired by chemical manufacturers to teach refinishing training classes for them. Shortly after they opened their own Training School, teaching the skills of refinishing to contractors all over the country. Around 2005, the older original tubs were becoming sparse and difficult to find. They then enlisted a foundry, the same foundry used by several big names in the bath industry, to manufacture reproduction clawfoot bathtubs for their own Tub King line of bath tubs. The Knight Brothers wanted to produce a line of tubs that were luxurious and high quality, but at the same time affordable to anyone. In 2006, their mother, Mama Knight, fell while using her bathtub. This inspired the brothers to develop and manufacture a line of senior walk-in bathtubs as well. The Tub King senior walk-in tubs are still the best and most affordable walk-in bath tub on the market today. Since then the brothers have grown their little business, started refinishing bathtubs in a barn, to a very successful country wide business selling bathtubs across the world and training refinishing to thousands. Tub King is constantly growing and evolving to carry the latest and greatest in the bathing industry. We pride ourselves on our products and service. We make sure to “treat people, the way we would want to be treated” and it has been working to help make this a very successful business.
