About Tubbs Berry Farm

Tubbs Berry Farm was founded in 2005 by Kirk and Heidi Tubbs in Twin Falls, Idaho. We are both 4th generation Idaho farm kids and wanted our children to learn to work. Actually, we wanted them to be able to experience the farm life we had known growing up but knew that we were going to need to look at some alternative crops in order to start a farm literally from the ground up. Our then 4 year old daughter suggested we grow berries, so that is where we started! Trying to start a couple of beehives led eventually to an annual bee day, small beekeeping store, beekeeping classes and more. Seeing a need for family friendly fall events led to a pumpkin patch and straw maze that has grown every year. Tubbs Berry Farm purchased My Dad’s Garlic in 2018 and moved the decades old family seed garlic operation to our small family farm in Twin Falls, Idaho. This allowed us to take our garlic operation larger scale to produce certified disease free garlic seed inside of an area that has been designated a white rot free quarantine area in Idaho since the mid 80’s. Seed garlic destined for planting inside the quarantine area must be from certified stock and must be inspected and certified by the Sate Department of Agriculture. As a result, seed garlic from this area is in high demand in many areas dealing with white rot. We are also able to legally ship garlic into the quarantine areas of Idaho and Oregon for planting. Our mission is to be an asset to our community by providing opportunities, resources, and wholesome family friendly recreation for our community. We've learned a lot over the years and as a result have become a local resource for education about everything from crops and irrigation to beekeeping and soapmaking. We have a summer program that provide local teens with a first job, and our fall pumpkin patch and straw maze gives us the chance to invite our entire community out to enjoy the farm!
