About Tulsa Youth Works

At YouthWorks, we empower the children and teens of North Tulsa to lead community transformation while learning how to read, run businesses, meet dream professionals, serve neighbors needing help, develop STEM and trade skills, and have tons of memorable childhood fun. The children run the YouthWorks Pizza Factory, get physically fit playing basketball on the YouthWorks Thunder court built by the OKC Thunder NBA team, gain hands-on trade experience at TradeTown, and ride horses and learn agribusiness at our 20-acre YouthWorks Ranch. Of special note is the children's progress learning how to grow vegetables that transform the health of North Tulsa. The average black male in our area dies at age 54 due to high blood pressure and diabetes. Through a partnership with Better Day Farms, Kiwanis Club of Tulsa, United Healthcare, FreshRx, Crossover Health Services, and dozens of partnering faith-based & community organizations, children grow and distribute produce proven to transform health issues to accomplish the ultimate goal of improving quality of life and increasing life expectancy for the families of our North Tulsa community. All this is done through YouthWorks' 10-week Summer Dream Camp, 30-week After School Program, and 3 school break camps. We are grateful when you volunteer to work with the kids as a reading buddy, share what your career is like, get your hands in the dirt to help kids garden, teach trade skills while building something fun, ride bikes with kids on our bike trails, referee a basketball game on the Thunder court, teach a character lesson, or help the kids learn about all the animals at YouthWorks Ranch. Financially, you can sponsor a camper, give towards a fun or educational field trip, become a gala event or table sponsor, help build a trade skills development cabin in your industry, have the kids present their pizza business to your employees at lunchtime, or help the kids grow more produce to transform the health of North Tulsa.
