Tūmatakahuki - the National Māori Law Students' Association is the representative body unifying the six Māori law rōpū across Aotearoa (Te Rākau Ture, Te Aro Ture, Te Whakahiapo, Ngā Rangahautira, Te Pūtāiki, and Te Rōpū Whai Pūtake). Tūmatakahuki has the support of Te Hunga Rōia Māori o Aotearoa and was established as their formal tauira branch. Tūmatakahuki encourages whakawhanaungatanga between all tauira Māori studying towards a Bachelor of Laws irrespective of their whare wānanga and functions to protect and promote their collective interests.
