About TUMO Portugal

O TUMO é um centro de tecnologias criativas que promove um programa educativo gratuito, inclusivo e voluntário, complementar à escola, no qual os estudantes, dos 12 aos 18 anos, escolhem o que vão aprender. O TUMO Coimbra é o primeiro centro em Portugal com capacidade para 1500 estudantes. Em outubro de 2024 abrimos o TUMO Lisboa, e estamos a trabalhar com outras cidades para abrir mais centros no país. O programa é presencial e baseia-se em actividades de auto-aprendizagem, com acompanhamento de monitores, e depois aprofundadas em workshops práticos e laboratórios de projeto liderados por profissionais especialistas. Os estudantes podem escolher entre 8 áreas de aprendizagem tais como música, animação, robótica, fotografia, design gráfico, desenvolvimento de jogos, programação e cinema. Existem 13 centros na Arménia, o país fundador, e oito centros internacionais tais como Paris, Berlim, Lion, Tirana, Beirute ou Kiev. ----- The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free, inclusive, volunteer and after-school educational program that puts students, from 12 to 18, in charge of their own learning. TUMO Coimbra is the first center in Portugal with capacity for 1500 students. More centers are on the way in other Portuguese cities. The program is on-site and based on self-learning activities, supported by coaches, then deepened with hands-on workshops and project labs led by specialists. Students can choose from 8 learning areas such as music, animation, robotics, photography, graphic design, game development, programming and filmmaking. There are 13 centers in Armenia, the founding country, and eight international centers such as Paris, Berlin, Lyon,Tirana, Beirut or Kyiv.
