Tune In Space Out (TISO) Media is a queer black-owned media entity aimed at creating and sustaining opportunities for marginalized professionals and creatives. While originally the business focused on producing visual art, dance and music shows in order to showcase and provide paid opportunities for artists, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a big shift towards the need to elevate blackness within the extremely competitive capitalist market. Therefore, TISO Media launched Remix Writing Services. Originally, we completed the revisions of about 50 resumes, CVs and LinkedIn profiles for free during the height of the pandemic. We maintain reasonable pricing for resumes, CVs, creative resumes, editing, etc. TISO has been invited to workshops to help former inmates, college students and public corporations to teach how to write resumes, interview for jobs, write poetry and music, perform, and manage social media. Much of this work is done in charity, though some have awarded honorariums from subsequent donations. TISO still continues to complete free work for individuals desperately in need of resume and job readiness services.
