About TungaMiti

TungaMiti is a tree crop trading business sourcing timber and other products from tens of thousands of smallholder farmers across Kenya for sale into regional and international markets. From farmer to buyer we manage every step of the trade. We support farmers to grow and manage tree crops, verify standing inventory, coordinate harvesting and grading, and deliver ready-to-sell supply. By taking responsibility for the full chain we turn dispersed smallholder production into reliable and traceable product. Most smallholder models fail at delivery or stall before scale. We do not outsource that risk. By securing markets first and working with trusted partners on harvesting, logistics and quality control we deliver what buyers need on time and at spec and what funders want: scale, profit and long-term impact. Today we work with over 20,000 farmers managing 8,000 hectares of eucalyptus and melia plantations. By 2040 we aim to support 100,000 farmers and restore 40,000 hectares while introducing other crops such as cashew and macadamia and scaling our registered carbon programme.
